I got a pioneer touch screen dvd player radio to replace the stock unit and was wondering if any one has a break down of the wiring to splice in the new connector that comes with the radio and if i am going to need any adapters to install it and how to bypass the park indicator safety on the radio not that i am going to watch any movies while driving. If any one needs a replacement radio my old one is up for grabs for free if anyone needs one the only with it is has no radio recep at all don,t know if it is the antenna or radio and when i picked it up the cd player did not work but it started working on its own and has not gave me any trouble since. It is going in 2001 limited

 

It all depends on which pioneer model you have. Some require a toggle switch and a relay, others just need to ground out a wire.

You should get a radio wiring harness for Ford so you don't need to cut the stock connector.

where would i get one of the connectors to covert i see the stock radio has two connectors in the back thanks for the info

 

If you search youtube on bypassing your unit model, you may find a video on how to do it.

You may be able to get a harness at Wally world. If not, then a Best Buy or any place that installs car audio and alarms. All you need is one harness. The other is for the rear controls.
