If I shorten the actuator rod will that gimme more....no leaks

well after 1/2 a turn on the pump and about 1full turn out on the torque screw I think I am in decent shape....at 70 mph gets are 750, boost 3, rpms 2400, no black smoke all on flat ground...it will puff just a little black smoke when i launch it but that's it, i managed 7 lbs of boost tromped down hard...i Think that's all I am going to get, but I is running strong has nice power....i am content
