That would be known as a very bad "investment". It always cracks me up when people give some rediculous figure that was spent and say it was "invested".

As in the classic car world, it always amazes me that people somehow think that the amount of money that they put into a vehicle somehow has a bearing on how much the vehicle should cost.

I don't care how much money you invested in the truck. It is worth about the same as a 2012 F-450.

Yeah thats a nice truck,

I dont like the Line X flares and such, not my style. For that kind of money I would like an 08-10 F-450. The new ones arent the same as the old ones, from what Ive read its really just a glorified F-350.

But for what the used stuff is going for Im gonna keep mine for a Loooooonnnggg time.

I would love to have that truck though.

Yea - It is an XLT that MSRP for $58,320 ... (From Windowsticker) - So while it is cool - $100k might be a little out there..

Not sure what the leather seats cost is nor the lift - but the bumpers/winch/ power steps (Amp?) and transfer tank - not that expensive - 3-4K?? - Figure also that he didn't pay MSRP ..

Otherwise - pretty nice ride...

But there are exception. I bet you have hear about classic cars selling for 6 digits?
Closer to popular market, I am just selling 1965 Airstream travel trailer. Fully operational and nicely refinish is going to bring about 2 to 4 times more than MSRP
Mostly due to inflation over those years, but still.

"Value" is all supply & demand. When Ford released the new GT a few years back, MSRP was around $150K I believe. I saw one at the dealership that had a sticker with "Market adjustment: $315K." all do to limited supply.

Still, a nice truck! $65K isn't really a bad price considering the mods already added. Time someone else doesn't have to invest.

I like the 'EcoTrek' sticker on the door - that truck just screams 'Eco' ;-)

He didn't "invest" very well. The thing looks stock other than the grille and bumper
