head gaskets will still blow even with ARP studs?

so my truck is in the shop no and its getting the works while its there. ARP studs and alot more. the shop doesnt offer a warrenty on the stud because they are so good but he did say the 2 trucks have came back with blown head gaskets again. the shop was powerstroke magic here in houston. are they really that good or is there a risk of blowing again?

Always a risk of blowing again, but the chances are very minimal. I think a shop warrantying their work is totally dependent on the shop. The guy doing my work will warranty all of his work, but I've heard of others that aren't willing to.

Lose the Black Onyx gaskets and go with Ford/Navistar gaskets, and you'll be good to go.

As long as the head and block are good and flat, you shouldn't have any problems. Also not using Victor Reinz/Black Onyx is a must in preventing a redo.

X10000 to what M-Chan said, I just noticed the Black Onyx gaskets. If thats what they are planning to install just stop them now regardless of what they say and get OEM.

PowerStroke Magic has a great reputation.

Are they going to send the heads out for machining?

what sense would that make? If they were that good a warranty would cost them nothing and improve their standing with you.
