oil treatment flush

I used to flush out gas engines by adding a quart of dextronII or marvel mystery oil. The dextron would really clean them up, piston ring landings and all run them for around 30 miles and dump the oil and refill. Being this is a diesel that is using oil to run injectors ect I'm not so sure if its plausable or not. I don't think anyone is going to endorse your idea, you might try doing some research online to see if its doable or just a bad idea.

i suspect that, because the injectors are hitting almost 900psi at all rpm's that...
i would hope that between a flush of oil and a new ICP sensor this eliminates.

The truck for 3years has been blue smoke when not hot. Recently (last winter) it was getting tough to start, (not if it was plugged in though). Pulled all intercooler hosing, soaped and armourial to inspect for cracks. All fine. Drained water fuel. No change. Cleaned EGR, nothing.
The dumb part is it works fine sometimes
So I purchased a autoenginuity it is giving P006a Undocumented Trouble Code.
P0267 Cylinder 3 Low circuit (though individual test shows ok range)
P0401 EGR Flow Insufficient Detected
P0404 EGR Circit Range Performance
P0460 Fuel Level Sensor A Circuit
P132b Turbo Boost Control A performance
EGR Valve Position 0.8
EGR Value 1.4 - 2.2 Idle, 8.5 @2000rpm
Engine Oil Temp 207
FICM 100% sync
Logic 95%
Main 48v
Fuel Level Input Volts 53%, Value of 1.12
Input sensor 50%
Pulse width 780 @ 1500rpm
Injector Control
Pressure 20%,
Desired 20%
Volts 25% or 1.15v
Injector Control Pressure Reg 30%
Injector Timing 50%…
Manifold Absolute Pressure 13 psi
Volts 1.2 or 51%
Manifold Gauge Pressure 0.07, or 6%
Mass Fuel Desired 10@ 1500 or 8%
IM and Mode 6 not available
No EGR monitor
EGR open circuit Detected
a long list and thanks for reading, any and all comments thoughts welcomed and appreciated

You could dump in SeaFoam, Kreen, Marvel Mystery Oil, Hot Shot's Secret, or Lucas. I wouldn't do it, I like my injectors too much to feed them that. If you're cool with buying 8 new sticks, go for it.
If it's injector stiction causing rough starts, using Rev-X is the stop gap before replacement.

suspect electronic failure
so which will it be
as the truck has the smaller alternator, with extra lighting for at night
we use some more electric power on it
and that it can run correctly sometimes
now only unboosted
therefore a signal to allow boost seems the culprit
i am still unsure of the oil system flush, but i do think dirty high pressure oil pump being clogged.
but, is it worth new "O" rings all round???

since owning the rig, it sputters from a start, to a hill through 3ed gear, 2nd it still has a tough time sorting how much fuel and boost to allow. It feels itself out near 2,200 rpm more or less it smokes.
since last winter, starts have been getting tough, and lately it will not allow fuel to match boost required.
140,000mi on the truck, little or no maintenance before i got it. except oil changes i have been told.
my AutoEnginuity tool say only 900max,psi
i desire to free up oil for injection control, but if the fault is the icp or boost control as it is a 2003...
this it seems falls under the old leaded heavier oil supplement area, but i hate to see what it could do to modern O rings.
But i guess with a few oil changes immediately with some flush and additives may free up the hpop and icp and ?vgt
i am 3hours away from any garage that can do anything, and 8 hours from a major center
any and all comments will be greatly appreciated
thanks!

Have you checked FICM voltages? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...procedure.html
