Jim, I am curious as well what you have got going on with these things. I got some serious leaks that i need to address and a bolt on application would be great for me. I am planning on a turbo rebuild up pipes and re sealing the intake plenums. I was planning on tackling the home made version but am having trouble finding some time laying around! once I get everything running right ill defineately be talking to you about some injectors too!

I must have 25 sets of pipes sitting here. It's one of those projects I got lined up last summer to make sure I could keep my tech here in the shop busy.
And wouldn't you know it we've been buried in work since then and never got back to them.
I've got parts here, just need to make time to get a few sets done.
Anyone interested let me know and I'll try to jump on a few to get ya taken care of. I have a few sets for Super Duty's ready, just never got to the OBS.
My deal has a custom made flange at the top that bolts into the stock collector and we put the bellows in the pipe to allow for expansion. No gaskets, all bolt on, and they come with new bolts, too.

I am trying to get the bolts put of the collector. Any tips on how to get into the rear bolt near the bell housing? I have the DP out. Will I have to remove the turbo pedestal?

I removed the turbo and pedestal and unbolted the collector from the turbo first of course.

Digging up this grave here. I assume you had to mount the collector to the turbo and mock the pipes up to determine how to orient the collector flanges?

Yep. He did and I did likewise on a core engine on an engine stand.
Thats how I built my t4 kit as well.

That's where I'm at the more I think about it. I got an AVP set from Full Force Diesel on order. Check my thread for updates on how those turn out.

I welded a nut to it and got it smoking hot. Kept breaking the weld on the nut before budging. I could get it hotter, but hopefully I'm not going to need the collector when my AVP pipes come in.
