hey guys, i finally parted ways with my truck of 6 years in my sig this week.. a sad day, but it was time. i traded it in for an '04 CCLB 6.0L. anyways i've been going over it with a fine tooth comb finding all the little things that need attention, and i am wondering if i am missing a grommet or rubber boot or something on the firewall.. see the picture:
seems aweful large to not have something there, no?
That hole usually has a plastic cover over it. My old 00 F 350 had that drilled out to pass a wiring harness through it. Ill look at my old one today and see if I can get The part #
This is the best picture I could get of my 2001 v10 firewall. It has 3 pieces (engine side has thin mat like layer cutout) (middle has a plastic plug that seals to the firewall) (cab side has thick foam plug which is a sound deaden-er I'd assume.)
Whats the part number on that!? mines missing it too, i guess when my dad got the plow but on they removed it and never gave it back to him and now that the plow is off i have a big hole there straigh to the cab.
I put ducktape over mine and it does just fine, id just like to put that plastic plug there, i have some wires going through the opening and it like to put gromets around them.
