'74 460 big block ignition module

So I am currently diriving my beauty of a truck Cottonball around and there is quite a bit of tuning to do and such, but I have heard rumors left and right about ignition modules for the 74 460s. All I'm curious about is what should I really aim for as far as ignition modules? I hear Motorcraft is the way to go but then I do some hopping and hear Motorcraft modules for the 74 460s were junk. All I'm asking is what will give me the best bang for my buck? I've got an ignition module in right now which is a cheap japanese brand type thing that's been in there at least a decade and it hasn't really died yet, but if I can get something that would work better it'll only help with the whole process of making this truck a true blue rubber burning machine

Is this the original ignition? In '74 points and condenser was the standard ignition, the electronic was optional. This Duraspark was a one year only. Not much choice for what to use.

It's possible it's not original since it is electric. My grandpa had alot done to this truck before he passed away, the majority of it being stock work, not very many upgrades. I have tried locating the Motorcraft ignition module with the number you listed since I was suggested to get the Motorcraft module, but it is hard to locate to put it lightly.

If the engine still has the emission sticker on the valve cover it will tell you whether it was originally points or electronic ignition. It will either give you the point gap setting or say electronic.
