61' - 64' F250 2WD Front Axle

Is this axle interchangeable with a 66' one ton front axle? My problem is the wheel issue associated with the one ton lug pattern. I am under the impression that you cannot swithout the hubs from a F250, is this correct? Thanks in advance for any help given.

No the axle does not interchange with using the F350 spindles.

I was wanting to switch to 8 lug wheels but wasn't sure if I could just change out the hubs or had to switch out the entire axle. Thanks.

I been wondering the same thing. I think that you can change the whole axle assy from the 64 and earlier f250 but not sure about the springs. I know they're both gimmer box steering .The king pins are a different size so the spindle change is out. But seems to me that the complete axle assy would work. Would like to hear more opinions on this....Tim
