trimmed fenders

Had a little problem with ny tires trying to eat my fenders so I put my sawzall skills to work. Don't cry to much, the driver fender was crunched at one time and the passenger side wasnt in the best shape either lol.

No I still have to clean them up with a grinder, I'm not to worried about them cutting the tire now and I don't know how I would go about rolling the edge.

Do what Carol Shelby did on the Mustangs and wedge a baseball bat between the tire and fender and start rolling it back and forth.

That works on cars if you need a little room but doesn't work to good on trucks with a 6in gap between the tire and fender lol, I'd like to roll the lip completely over just so its not sharp.

Fender rollers are readily available and are not expensive.
They are also a ****e load easier than a baseball bat.
Have just used one on a mustang a few weeks ago, the secret seems to be go slow and it will happen.

Thanks for the offer but I took care of the problem, $6 for blades vs who knows what for new fenders lol. Eventually I'd like to make some 4-6in flaired fiberglass fenders for it.

Howdy,

Not sure if I am going to need to open up my fenders when I get larger tires, what size did you go with? I am thinking 35" for mine but I am also planning on lifting the body an inch or two... Either way I am planning on the use of fender flairs all the way around... Is there a brand that is good to use? Anyone with experience or a preferance? Or are these going to be something I'll have to make?

Thank,

Dylan

Nobody makes fender flairs for these trucks and honestly you won't need them with the right wheels. I'm running 35-12.5-16.5 bfg at's and they don't stick out at all, I only had a problem while turning real tight or turning into a drive way. I plan on using this truck offroad quite a bit so I needed the extra clearance.
