As is the problem with many of these trucks my door hinges wore out. I got a set of hinges off a donor truck that are in great shape took my bad hinges off and put the donor set in. Here's the problem. I have been at this close to an hour and cannot get the new hinges to line up I know I have the correct parts but, for some reason I just can't get the door to shut right every time I do an adjustment I am just far enough off I can't open the door with one hand or the door is to far in or out. So here's my question is there a trick to lining up these doors after a hinge replacement? Any help would be appreciated.

 

The trick is either you fab up a little rig on your trans jack or have a helper hold the door while you adjust it. Believe me, a helper is the best tool you can have. I fought with mine for about 3 hours and still wasn't satisfied. Then someone helped me for 15 minutes and I was happy.
