Nice! How did you separate the lens from the housing without breaking it?

un click the locking tabs and lift it off. just watch the trip reset button lifting it off and putting it back together and be careful of the needles while your cleaning

Well I did it... Ordered a 2016 F150 Lariat today.

This example is a 2015 Kingranch, but shows the Blue Jean Two Tone and 20" wheels

Now the waiting begins.

This is pretty cool. I thought I was the only one that went through this kind of trouble. It makes the truck feel new again. I hate a dirty cluster. I have done mine 2 times in the last 3 years.

Well now I fel like an idiot. I had popped a couple of those tabs but then it seemed as though the guages were attached to the black plastic and the lens was stuck to the black plastic with some glue.

I was half way there and gave up! We need a facepalm smilie.

i recently bought this truck and it lived out on a gravel road so it was especially bad. normally every couple years under normal conditions keep them pretty nice. i first learned about taking them apart and cleaning them working as a mechanic at a used car dealership. really does feel a lot nicer driving something with a nice clean gauge cluster.

it is glued to the black plastic (the rings around the gauges) but its not glued to the gauge faces. don't remember exactly how many clips there are but quite a few all the way around once you have them all un-cliped it lifts right off with ease should not have to force anything. getting the cluster out was much more a pain than taking it apart.

it is a little bit of a pain getting all the crevasses cleaned out on the back side as the rings are glued to the plastic if yours is as dirty as mine was. if its not too bad a lot of times a quick blast with a air hose is all they need once you get them apart.

After sitting all week in just below freezing temps overnight. It fired right up,
clattered for a couple a seconds and settled down to a nice idle. Drove it about
15 miles to pick up my daughter's new washer/dryer. Small Sear's outlet store
and no one there to help load them. They had a small fork lift but no one knew
how to use it and wouldn't let me. I just walked them up a couple of 8' 2x4s, but
I'm getting older and that stuff isn't as easy as it once was.

Ok, rant over. Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.

Haven't decided 100%. I could swing keeping it, but it will sit for extended periods of time and that bothers me to do that to a 6.0.

When you get it I want to know how well it gets along with the VCM2 clone.

On other notes I changed my fuel filters the other day and almost did not
take a bath in diesel. I got one coat sleeve when some dribbled down the frame rail.
This has to be the first time I have ran the full 15K and I think I'll go back to 10K now.
What I really need to do is pull the tank and HFCM and clean all the lines and parts.
Ir almost looks like sand.

Will do. The newest I have tried it on was a 2014 F250 XL 6.7 and it played nice.

The only thing that has been hit n miss have been Mazdas for me.
