i put the probe in the drivers side manifold near the back.

the pod is for a '92-'97 f-series.

well today was my longest drive with the new gauges.

my trans temp just touched 140*F after probly an 1hr drive of country roads. it was about 55*F outside today.

DAMN, I NEED MORE FUEL!!!!!! egt's struggle to get over 750 when accelerating. lately when cruising they are around 350-400 now. after a few minutes of idle they go down to about 150*.

my friends ask me how much boost i get now and it sucks telling them that i max out at 5psi @ WOT and if i am lucky i can squeeze out 6psi. for those of you with the factory ats 093 turbo how fast does your boost come on under normal acceleration with the truck unloaded? i CAN'T wait until i get rid of that awesome down pipe and then i will be able to seal up my up-pipe.

sounds like the lights on wire is getting power?

i'd really like to break into these gauges and make my own driver/dimmer for the led.

do you have problems with the gauge blurring because of the low frequency led flash?

like for instance if i shake my gauge i can see the led flashing. you will see multiple gauges at the same time like a tracer.

not sure how much different it will be when a 4 ton truck is attached and i am bouncing around, but that is one thing that concerned me with the led gauges.

i emailed gs tech support. they said to take the gauge out and connect the two power wires directly to the battery and the ground wire to battery ground. then if the gauge lights work then it is my connections. yesterday morning when i left to go to work the red worked, but only for a few miles. did not work on way home. same story today. just when i got home the only colors i have now on the trans gauge is light blue, dark blue, and green. no yellow, purple, white, red. the yellow, purple, and white don't even come up now. i am pretty sure it is the gauge.

what do you expect from a Taiwanese gauge?

When it comes to gauges, USA or European are the best.

today i got a trans temp gauge back.

i plugged it in and it lit up and everything worked fine.........except, there is always that expectLOL, the bezel piece on the front of the gauge is kind of loose and when i try to turn the gauge in the pod the back lighting goes funky again.

we will see tomorrow morning on the way to school how it does.
i was also dissapointed that i did not get any kind of not telling what they found wrong with the gauge.

BTW, egauges.com has some GOOD prices on ISSPRO gauges. if i had found that site before i got my gauges i would have gone ISSPRO.

sounds like the red 1/3 of the diode wasn't making connection

it probably has a rbg diode in it and one of the connection broke or something.

i was thinking about customizing my dash with rbg diodes and maybe putting a three channel mixer in to change the colors (just a side note)
