i just a EGT gauge, Boost, and Trans Temp. I purchased them online and i am pretty sure it is out of my range to install...does anyone know of a place around warwick RI that would install the guages for me?
Don't sell yourself short, the gauge install is quite easy. You only need a brass "T" for the boost gauge, the tranny temp sender goes in the driver's side of the tranny when you take out a plug (heck it don't even leak any fluid), and you drill the exhuast up pipe from under the truck and the probe goes right in.
okay...me and my friend got everything hooked up...were doing the electrical today but ran out of daylight yesterday. I ran into one problem. I decided to go with the clamp for the pyrometer, however the ceramic washer that was given in the kit was broken. I rigged it up for now, but the washer won't hold for long. Any place that i can get this washer from?
I would say go back to where you got them and see if they can send you a replacement. If they put one in the kit, surely they can send you out a single.
Glad you went ahead and installed the gauges. Not much is better than doing things yourself. As far as the gasket goes, I made one before from a piece of bulk exhaust gasket material. It is something a GOOD parts store should have or can get for you.
thank you all...i'm still waiting on a response about the washer, however my DP tuner came in the mail today, and after installing it i am hauling ***...the thing is amazing. thank you all for your input. I now have a Power Adder Intake, Walker BTM, Pyro, Boost, Trans Temp Gauges, DP Tuner. where should i go from here. gotta wait to boost the bank account back up. haha
depends on what your next addiction is. Looks, power, or coolness factor. If you haven't done them yet, I would say do the hutch, harpoon, and hpx mods. They are cheap and do a lot for you. Then choose between the cck or the full regulated return.
My addiction right now is gauges. I figure I am going to be fine with 7 all together, but who knows. I want to run the truck for a long time and if there is anything out of the ordinary, I want to know.
I think Diesel Manor sells one - I drilled and tapped mine but I remember they had em .Check out their website. It gives install instructions there on the site .

I have two suggestions. First, edit you sig That way you wont have to type it out everytime somebody asks. Second, I didnt see an exhaust. You may be getting hot w/o anything. You can go muffler delete on stock 3.5 and I was reading last week this is about 80% as good a 4" system...IDK...that is what I read. Otherwise I got a ss Silverline system for $400 on eBay. It was a OBO listing. Check him out.
Later,
Scott
