Boost fooler and SES light

Ive had a boost fooler on my truck for over a year or so now but Ive noticed that at WOT making 27 psi of boost I still get an SES. I know that it is pre set at 22-23 psi. I cant remember how to adjust it. It has a *** on it to twist left or right. If I adjust it will it make the light stay off? The SES light shuts off after about a minute of normal driving

Sounds like it has lost the initial setting. Usually a regulator will limit the pressure more if you turn it counter clockwise.

You should be able to hook it up to a compressor and put a gauge on it. Then set it to 22 psi.

Or, just install one of these:
Riffraff Diesel: OCR - Overboost Code Regulator

That is very similar to what I have on the truck now, if Im making 27 psi boost wont that still trigger the SES light to come on if its set at 22? If I turn it up or down I should still make my 27 psi but have no SES light right?

Before you adjust anything make sure it is the correct code... Could be a HPO code. They do NOT come out of adjustment.

If it's not defueling it is not the over boost code.

Stock boost is 15-17 psi, DP makes there tunes so it doesnt trip the SES light or defuel as far as I know. I would imagine it would start defueling somewhere around 21-23 psi.

I wish I had access to AE to figure this out for sure, one day Ill buy me one. So my HPOP is mostly to blame at this point without having AE then isnt it?

With the blow off it will never defuel, thats why I doubt its your regulator. They dont just fall out of adjustment.
