ok guys got an idea ant not sure if it will work but i no you guys will set me right!! ok so i got a sd motor wanna use the 3 in in take, so my ? is can you or has any one taken the sd spider and used it with the sd intkes on are trucks? was thinking it should hook to intakes ok , and where spider hook to turbo is 2in on ares and 2 1/2 0r 3 0n the spider of the sd, cant you fut that flange off and weld a 2 in flang in and be good to go? thanks guys
Short answer is the SD spider off a 99.5 to 03 will not work with an obs. Not even close to lining up. No easy way to cut it clear with out alot more work then making you own Y pipe.

yeah was off a 2000, should just turn my stock y an build myn? there is a boot out there a 3 by 2 right so i csn use my 3in sd intakes?
If you have a complete 2000 7.3, then swap over the driver side exhaust manifold, up-pipes, turbo, and intake runners along with the intercooler and you will be better off.
The Super Duty turbo mount and up-pipes will give you a lot more turbo options.

yeah but just bought below up pipes and running a d66 now , hmmm back to the drawing board
Get 2. 3 inch 90* bend exhaust pipes. Cut one to go between the plenums and the other to come up to the ic pipe. And the should be enough left over pieces to weld to the flange off your stock y pipe.

any one got any pics? where my y hooks to intakes i will need a 2 by3 boot right if i run the 3in intakes?
Imagine a turbo being behind that. Use the 3 inch pipe and the plenums. Then if you cut the flange on the inlet into the factory in the right spot it will weld almost exactly on the 3 inch pipe. Come to think of it a 45 may give you better clearance on the pipe coming into the lower pipe.

I'm glad your thinking it thru Jason. I put on 3" intakes only to find out what your running into. Got lucky and sold them and my intakes needed resealed anyway.
