Question Brake Drums, 1962 F-250, Rear.

I'm going to throw this at you guys. The hardest thing I have had to find for my Ford F-250 was the rear brake drums. All the parts reproducers said they had them, and when they arrived, they were wrong. The ones on my truck are dished an inch more than the two wheel drive type. I did eventually find a good set off of an old truck so I'm set now. I'm just wondering how many years they did that on the older 4X4's, and why the parts reproducers do not list them as NA, and do not even realize that there is a difference? Dandy Dave!

My 1966 F250 came with a narrower rear drum, and when I swapped rear diffs
off of a 1971, they were the wider kind...I think it went from 2" to 2.5".

I also had trouble trying to locate the narrower older style, but the 2.5" were avail. through an auto parts store here in CA.

Hopefully you get a better answer than this.

It seems the only option anyone would have with one of these trucks is a rearend swap if their drums were shot, and none were available.

Anyone know the correct part numbers for the 62 Ford F-250 4X4 rear Drums, vs the part numbers for the 2 WD drums? Dandy Dave!
