You can vent to atmosphere. I've been doing it for a while. I used a 1" ID heater hose down by the frame rail under the bed. There is a decent amount of vapor occasionally and I am often told that my truck is smoking.
Just changed out my cold side CAC pipe and not a trace of oil residue. Was very pleased.

I've always wondered why no one has done this, I did it to my race car, most drag racers do. But run the CCV to the vehicles exhaust. I know in drag racing applications it's done for different reasons. Why not run a hose from the CCV into the exhaust with a 1 way valve? Lets assume you have a cat and dpf delete. I get why you wouldn't if they are still in place.

That Mishimoto Catch Can install looks good and easy to access! I saw they have lots of hose and fitting options. I probably should do this mod...

I'm going to change out this catch can from out in front, to the rear of the truck with a breather on it. When I would disconnect the hose going back to the intake, there would oil in that hose. Too much blow-by and combined with the turbos sucking that vapor back in.

its routed back to the intake to send fuel vapors into the intake. as engines wear, more blow by, recliaming the fuel vapors helps mpg.
those catch cans probally catch a lot of the fuel vapors as well as the oil, so your not going to get a lot of fuel vapoers back into the intake...but you will get sum.
the other value sending the air back to the intake has is that the air going back to the intake will be colder and denser than the air going directly from the vent to the intake. the air gets colder due to the catch can being in front of the radiator and most of the hoses being in front of the radiator.
Also, I got sopped by environmental protection NYC police for smoking more than 3 seconds while my truck was doing its regen thing.....dont want to add to that dripping oil from "the hose to chasis to the ground" approach.

Come to find out the my crank case pressures where a little high just idling and above normal under high boost conditions due to the restrections of the racor filter. To counter this the Filter housing is designed with a by-pass valve to prevent over-pressure of the CC.
The part number of the high flow filter is CCV55248-04. There not easy to get, i had to special order them. e.
