06 superduty lariat seat swap to 02 f250 xl base model

Hi i ended up grabbing a pair of 2006 f350 superduty lariat captain seats with arm rests...i plan on putting them into my 2002 ford f250xl superduty extended cab... my truck is the xl trim with power windows, locks, and has the cloth bucket seats my question is do i have to use the factory plug and wires to connect these seats or can they be modified to run as of yet i do not have the plug and wires that connect into the seats...I called my ford dealer they quoted me $200 for the wire set...my second question is where does the end of this plug or wires connect to in the truck ? would i be able to use this 2006 harness or plug in my 2002 ???

I'm not sure because ive never done a seat swap but I personally would make s custom harness instead of paying for the ford one, most likely the 06 harness will not plug into your truck, however I could be wrong I'm also looking into west seals so I'm sure woke one will chime in soon.

I haven't looked at my power seats in my Ford but my old Jeeps had power and all you have to have is a power and ground for those. So you MIGHT be able to get away with running a power and a ground to the seat area and splicing the wires in.

They should bolt right in. I did the swap in my 02 work truck. the lariat seats were out of a 99, but the 06 seats should work as well. Just figure out which wire is positive and neg on the seat and run a hot wire to the positive and of course ground the other for the power seats.

I dont know how to wire them but you would definitely want them on a switch!

The heat is probably just likee the rest. Will need to figure out where it needs power. Might even use the same source. The switch is on the seat already.

I put 2006 Lariat power/heated seats in my 1999 F-250 that only had power on the driver side and no heat on either seat. If you search under post that I have put on here you can see the pin outs for the connectors as to what wire does what. There are 6 on the driver side as I recall and three wires on the passenger side for heat and power movement. The switches for everything are on the seat so you just need wires. There are a couple that are hot all the time, one hot with the key, a couple for grounds, one for the seat belt indicator and one wire goes from the driver side seat to the passenger. The seats them self will bolt right in with no problems. I did the whole swap in a couple hours a few months ago.
