been wanting to share this..but was a bit too p*** off....
Sunday morning i thought was going to be a nice day. woke up to my wife yelling at our Husky because she was jumping up and down up and around my EX. so i yell out to my wife "whats wrong!!?" trying to sound as sweet as possible but yet in a bit of annoyed voice she tells me the dog is going crazy. sigh..i get up and look out our sliding door and i tell her..our dog has been doing that for the past couple days. Its probably a bird or something that went in there. she tells me it also smells like manure in the backyard. my response was that i think our neighbors just had his backyard done by the gardeners. being my wife loving all things small and crittery. she tells me that she wants to make sure the bird is gone from under the truck. i give her the keys and i lay back down....thinking another 2hr sleep would be in order.
well that didnt last long..a scream of OMG!!!! reverberated thru our house. I'm like WHAT NOW!? she says that there is a small kitten sleeping on top of my manifold! at this time im already outside. she tells me the kitten is somewhere inside the engine bay. i spent the next hour looking for this fur ball to no avail.
now i know my engine needed a good washing..but the smell of manure was more prevalent now. i look near the rear of the engine and there is cat poo all over! not the baby ruth looking ones either..but the runny brown gravy type..WTF! the smell was horrible. i ended up busting out the laptop and doing a quick search on FTE on how to wash the engine. proceeded to get out the simple green and go to town. being careful not to douche the COPS too bad..after i got it hosed down (very low water pressure) i got out the old leaf blower and spent the next 30min making sure everything was dried. then spent another hour with a sock in one hand and purple power tire dressing cleaning up the rubbers.
took it for a drive to make sure the COPs were still ok. no problems. but the smell of poo still lingers on..sigh. its coming from the radiator area. eff it..ill let it dry off wherever it is!!!!!
sorry for the long post but i just had to share this...
now our household has 3 cats ( including the squatter in the EX) which i come to find out, my wife has been feeding outside for the past few weeks..and our Husky. so i am now living with 5 females in this household!!! the humanity!!!!!!!

Funny story, Dennis. But be happy you found that critter where you did. A coworker here started his truck one cold morning, and an awful screeching sound ensued. Turns out his cat had crawled down in the fan shroud to keep warm over night. Apparently that makes quite a mess, and also makes you less than popular with the kids.

A lady on vacation took a stroll through the woods.
Suddenly a little white duck, all covered with poop, crossed her path.
"Oh, my," exclaimed the lady, "Come on, I'll clean you!"
She took a Kleenex from her purse and cleaned the little critter.
She walked a little farther and another duck, with poop all over it, crossed her way. Again she took a Kleenex and cleaned the little bird.
Then she encountered a third duck, with the same problem.
And for the third time, she acted like a Florence Nightingale.
She walked on still farther and she heard a voice from the bushes calling... Pssssst..."Hey, lady!"
"Yes?" she responded.
"Do you have a Kleenex?" asked the voice from the bushes.
"No, not anymore," she answered.
"Dang! Have ya' seen any Ducks?"
