Wow....................That really blows!.....................Maybe it's a..............."Fuseable" link? The guy that takes care of that stuff didn't make it in today. Said he would look into it as soon as he figures out why his truck is overheating. So I told him the same thing I told you. He said that it might actually be a possibility and at the rate I'm going developing my troubleshooting skills I'd soon become a legend in my own mind! That's a good thing right? Do you think I should go ahead and quit my day job? Anyway, regarding fan problems. The two times I had problems with mine, believe it or not, had nothing to do w/ a fuselinky wire rubber thingy. Once my fan, all ofa sudden started running so good you would have thought the fan wasn't even running ! Then it started to smell like when you play basketball all day and your shoes are soaking wet from sweat so you put them on the floor furnace grid and forget to take em off before you go to bed. So while I'm checking on my Jordans, all of a sudden, for no reason, my truck starts overheating. Whats up with that? The other time as soon as I started my truck one morning (I remember it was early cause it was really cold which might have something to do w/ it ya think?) and the fan starts making noises like rat-tat-tat-ting -ting-ta-ting-tat-ti-t-t-t-t...........ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz ....and something that sounds like when you give a cat a ride in a laundromat dryer, when he's ready to get off the ride (but with more of a sound of urgency to it) .Then nothing! No more noise but the truck starts running hotter and hotter. So I turned on the heater full blast thinkin it would help cool things down but the hot air comes out less and less until there's only an occasional puff of something that looks like.... kinda like maybe.... Fur? Turns out my heater core is completely clogged up w/ this stuff. I tried to remove it w/ an ice pick but works kinda hit and miss. Now here's where it starts getting weird. I get everything working again but if I go anywhere w/ my girlfriend I gotta take a coat
because every time I turn on the heater she starts thinking about her cat that disappeared a while back and starts crying and saying stuff like " If my truck wasn't always breaking, I could have spent more looking for the cat and fluffy would be home right now instead of who knows where(I don't know if "Who" is the guy's first name or last and when I ask her and why he seems to know more about our house cat than I do, if I'm not wearing my coat she starts hitting me w/ it while I'm driving! I know just reaching over and smacking her upside the head isn't the best way to handle the situation so I always try to find a safe place to pull over first but the farther she has to walk home the better(except also the less likely I'm gonna be gettin lucky that night). Telling her fluffy probably just found some warm place to sleep where the food was better doesn't help (if he had to eat her cooking he would have left sooner. It's funny how something completely unrelated can effect something else. Like Why am I standing on my front porch freezen my a** off for another 20 minutes till my girlfriend gets back home w/ the house keys and wearing my coat. Who would have thought their truck overheating would end up making them sleep on the couch? I gotta go get something to eat cause when my blood sugar gets low, I start to loose my train of thought, but about that bad thread, maybe you ought to tell someone about it! Anyway, now you know what I do when I get bored on Sundays, but after lunch I think I'll pull my plugs out and side gap em, then maybe go for a drive and see if I can find the damn cat (or one that really looks like him) so I can start useing my heater again.
