Hawks, that I can see and watch.

I hope they stick around, maybe even nest here.

It's one of the things I like about Tennessee. That "Watchable Wildlife" tag is for real! I like wild critters...

I had a pair of those on our farm in La. I enjoyed watching them. I saw one of them catch a rabbit once. That rabbit screamed loud at heck when the hawk grabbed him.

There is one draw back - I whipped around a bend in a trail a few days ago on my bike, and there was a full grown POLECAT looking over its shoulder at me.

I gave it lots of room, and plenty of time to amble on its way though...

NOTE:
From what I have seen; Raccoons ramble, moles and field mice scurry, Skunks definitely 'amble', Bluejays flitter, snakes slither, cats slink, squirrels flit, Possums sort of gravitate, cows and horses mosey, but Deer are normally either standing still or under constant acceleration... (FWIW)

In fact - even if you could saddle a deer, how the hell could you stay on one?
Especially if it jumped through a bush...
