Badges no badges??
So I'm trying to figure out to either de-badge my truck or leave it all and go with the changing the F250 badges to F450 badges.*
So what do u think?? I'm thinking the F450 badges might be over doing it but u never know.

Why F450 badges?
I acetoned the factory badges on my 2000 and they turned out nice. There's some pics in my gallery if you're interested, super cheap mod...

450 badges just to be different. I was also thinking of painting them red and throwing a light coat of lenses tint over them.
Did u soak them in acetone or just like buffed them while on the truck?

Ahh, gotcha.
I left the badges on the truck, taped the heck out of them, had rags in hand. I used q-tips to remove the black paint from them. You gotta be super careful doing this on the truck, that stuff will do some nice damage to your paint should you get any on there...
Sorry for the quality of the pics, they were done on my cell phone 8 years ago (the technology just wasn't there)...

Are you aware that if you take the badges off there will be holes in the fenders and tailgate?

I've been working on acetoning the badges on my '06 6.0 PSD. I think the factory used kryptonite paint on mine, because it's been motha#*&%$ getting the paint out of the lettering.

Why don't you put "Mercedes" badges on it to be different.

It just removes all the black paint from the badge revealing the chrome.
