i wouldnt paint the lights, it never looks right. look into some clear lenses or black out the ones you have (assumeing that your worried about the extra red above the paint line).
Lookin good man. In my opinion it looks fine. If you look at the middle pic you have the tailights at the end of the rear paint line and the headlamps and their trim at the end of the front paint line. Makes it look pretty symmetrical.
Should I paint the top of the taillights to match the paint lines?
No. You're not going to paint the headlights to match the paint lines are you? Truck looks perfectly normal with a red strip on the bed that doesn't match the top of the tail light.
Truck looks 100% better with a bed stripe that matches the cab.
Ok, I won't paint the lights. And I really don't like the clear taillights. Planning on clear turn signals, clear cab lights, and new headlights in the future. Plus a new chrome grill and new headlight trim.
Still debating whether I want to put the chrome strips along the bottom on the fender, doors, bed...

The tailgate I have is held up with a ratchet-strap right now. It's bent, missing hardware, etc. When I get a better one I'll paint it to match the rest.

Paint looks nice ...
It's bent up from the previous owner so no use fixing it. Planning on a home-built tube bumper later on anyways.
