How do i mate a PERKINS TO A CLARK 5speed?
Hellow folks.. not 100% sure where to fit this thread but here she goes.
We have a Perkins 4.300 / 6.354. disel. Our thought is to use a Clark 5 speed that came from an 80's gmc ( notice the lower case ) bus, and was behind their 366bb. What would this 5 speeds SAE number be?
We're unsure if we could find.. a bell housing or adapter plate.. or make something.. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks.

This here says you might could have a number 2 for that Perkins. Get the tape measure out:
SAE Bell Housings Made Easy
The 366 is the BBC pattern, although some say some tall deck BBC truck motors get the SAE bell. You'll have to check.
Do you know the 366 bell is SAE--I guess you can check with the above info.
