Im pulling my front end apart today to replace all four balljoints and also to remove my dually hub extenders so I can run srw type wheels. The truck is a 1997 F350 cab and chassis dually. Now the manual locking hub only has 3 allen screws that hold it on, instead of 6.
Ive removed the large retaining ring, no problem there. Then I went to remove the smaller snap ring that is on the outer axle shaft and to my surpise there is no snap ring. No groove for a snap ring or anything. So I figured the hub would just pull out like normal once you remove the ring.
I cant for the life of me get the inner hub out. I dont know what the deal is.
any suggestions?

IIRC 96 started the 3 bolt lucking hub thing. And just the large outer snap ring and no inner snap ring.

The hub will now come out, it probably just has suction from grease. Pull on it with pliers
