Update....

Been watching my coolant closely and I have not had any issues. I did obtain a coolant bypass filter and got it installed today. Only took 35 minutes or so. So I'll continue to watch it and update if anything changes.

It installs on the frame rail under the passenger seat. Run the hoses up under the air box. I'll try to post pics later.

Nice job! Wonder how that area will hold up against the weather.

Could you coat it real good with fluid film?

I wiped it down with white lithium grease. It's wont wash of with water. You can see a slight film on the frame rail behind the filter.

The intake side is attached to the lower feed hose behind the intake. The return T's into the return line on top of the radiator by the passenger side battery.

I have had mine on for 16 months and no issues, I change my filter once a year. Definetly not as dirty as the 6.0, although mine was never that bad anyways.
