Pulled truck out of shop under power......

Unfortunately not of it's own power.

Cut out the cab corners today and needed to pull the truck outside to do some sandblasting where the panels were cut out.

I thought I might be able to save the cab corners without a lot of surgery....................no such luck. Anyway it was a nice day to get outside and get something done that I hate doing...........sandblasting!

I'm trying to wrap up a lot of welding that was not done during the mock-up stages. I had a lot of my modifications tack welded just in case I decided that I wanted to change it. It seems like I'm going backward instead of moving ahead. I will say that I have made some headway on the front suspension.......all rebuilt, new calipers, rotors, bushings, etc.....

I've got to start putting this thing back together.........All these parts laying all over the place are taking up a lot of real estate in my garage.

Yeah, sandblasting gets sand in places that make you wonder how it could have gotten there.

I'll have to fix that rake problem. I'm not much on tail draggers.
My neighbor (a fellow hot rodder) called me up wanting to know what kind of wheelie bars I was going to install.

Will be no problem. I just welded in the nut plates for the seats, bolted the seats in and gave it a test run. The seats are mounted fairly low so headroom won't be a problem. My wife and I are vertically challenged anyway.

If my health holds up for the next 8-9 months I plan to post a thread where my truck WILL be pulling out of the garage and going for a spin under it's own power. It won't be shiny paint, but it will be a driver.

I'm jealous; you have enough power to pull the front wheels off of the pavement.

I suspect I've got enough power to pull all the wheels off the pavement. I've stood the truck up on the rear of the frame. A couple of my friends and I were looking at the bottom side dreaming up some future mods. Gotta stop coming up with new ideas. The very reason it's not done yet!!!
