i think if you have the time, money and determination it can be done wes....also would be very cool to see! its always more fun to be different .....i am a big fan of the 4.6's and just look at taxis and police cars those motors are everywhere and run for forever! .....go for it!!

I agree the peak hp thing. I'm not sure how they compare on the charts, it's been a long time since I have looked. I do know that the early 4.6's put out good low end, but not quite as good as the 5.0's low end.

The fastest stock 5.0 fox body that I have seen ran a 14.7 in the quarter and that was a notch. I remember it always being a good race between a 95 5.0 and a 96 4.6.

In the end, I think both are good motors. They just have to be built differently.

I think if or when my 5.0 eats it from whatever power adders I throw at it down the road, I may have to search out a mod motor... a supercharged 6.2L sounds fun. LOL
