Hey John,

Was recently at our local weekly cruise night here in Escondido, CA, and they had this killer BBQ...I remember you were into restoring BBQ's.

It's pretty creative...made to look like a motor on an engine stand...The smoke goes out the headers!
Too bad it's not a Big Block Ford in blue.
Best,
Jason

Jason the company that makes those, makes a chevy, ford, and hemi version.. I was looking at them a while back.... I think Summit is now carrying them!

Thanks Jason, I have seen those. I think they ran an ad on for the Cup race last weekend.

I am with my grills like my trucks, if it aint Weber it don't live at my house. I do have a Weber Q200 that rests in a charbroil frame. Grill was $50.00 used on CL about 3 years ago, cb was $35.00, brought it home tossed the grill and set the Q in the frame.

I hear you on the Webers...top notch quality. I've been eyeing one at
HDepot for taking to the beach, the portable gas one that looks like the
one in your photo (I think that's it actually)...the one I have is a small Weber
(kinda like a mini "Sputnik"),but it's such a hassle finding a place to empty the
coals when we head home!

Time to go gas!

Best,
Jason

Jason there are 3 sizes, the 100, 200, 300. with variations, like the 220 has a thermometer in the top. Keep a look out on Craigslist, you may find one for half of the big box store. This one was owned by a seller that was moving and couldn't take it with her. Got it, a cover, & cart with gas for $50.00.

I time using it with the wife, 20 minutes I can lite it, cook the meat, and head to the table when she does the other items.

Cast iron grates are great too.
