tighting antena on 2001 F150 remove inner fender?

how envoloved is it to take the inner fender well out and then will i be able to get it tight.?

the whle base is loose over the years of car washes and tree limbs

All you should have to do is pop the black plastic cover off of the base. There is 3 screws under that cover that hold the antenna to the fender.

I just thought it was under the truck fender ..i will check into it..thank you.

thank you, that fixed it...i cant believe I didnt think of that i thought it had a nut on the bottom where the attnea wire came up into the base..lol

No problem. I figured it out when my son broke my antenna off in the base. He was putting it back in after getting the truck washed. Doesn't know his own strength and he's only 8. Lol

Where to buy the antenna mount???

Ok so I got the mount off the fender of my truck, the post for the antenna broke off inside the mount so I need the new mount. The part # is  6L3T-18A984-A. I have looked all over the interwebs for that and cannot find it. Any ideas? this is the actual mount that is underneath the black cover, held in by the 3 screws.
