NO start no sync low rpm signal cmp fault
hey FTE in my shop i have a 05 with banks six gun system brand new ficm new wire harness this guy spends big money on his truck everything is well taken care of. on that note i have a no start concern and all the starting parameters look perfect ficm powers look great oil pressures look great passes buzz test.. the parameters that dont look good are CMP FAULT- YES RPM READS 168 WHILE CRANKING FICM SYNC NO PCM SYNC NO. i am leaning towards a cmp sensor but i have never had to replace one yet, and ckp sensors go bad on 7.3L but not to sure about the 6.0L anybody have this problem........... any help is greatly appreciated!!!

i am not getting any codes at all and it passed the buzz test... and he had his engine and ficm harness changed.. i am leaning toward the cmp cause i am getting a cmp fault yes pid to come up w/o any codes and the ecu and the ficm are NOT in sync?? and the rpms are reading 168 when i can clearly hear the engine spining way faster than 168rpm...

168 RPMs engine speed sounds pretty good. Have you checked ohms on the CKP and CMP circuits? CKP should be between 300 to 400 ohms. CMP should be between 800 to 1100 ohms. Based on the fact that you indicate that CMP_F PID indicates YES, tells me you have a circuit issue between the PCM and CMP sensor in the harness (even if it is new). Do you have either circuit shorted to each other or ground? You didn't happen to pinch the harness anywhere during the install did you? Have you tried "borrowing" another PCM from another running 6.0L to try?
