What are some of the tried and tested leveling kits out there for older'99 f350. I have found some and heard about others, but the ones that sound good are for newer '99s

 

I have 2000 4x4 with the front leafs. This small stack of leaves has worked well for me- about 2'' of lift.

 

where is a good place to purchase them and what brand is preferred. I have heard that they make for a stiff ride? Having the 7.3 diesel with all of its weight i was thinking that it wont be as stiff as others.

 

I think mine are Truxx brand. Just search the internet: 'Level kit ford excursion', more than one brand. They include longer Ubolts, and center bolt.

I didn't notice any stiffness change. No shock change is needed.

Just rusty u-bolts, you may need to borrow a 'blue-tip wrench'.
