I second Lokar. They have a shifter to fit everything else so I would say it's a pretty safe bet. BTW, welcome and get ready for the best (and most expensive) addiction you will ever have!

Questions: How many holes does the trans pan have? How did you determine it's an FMX since you just bought the truck?

The reason I'm asking is: 351W available A/T's: C4, C6, FMX, AOD, E4OD.

you will quickly find p.o's seldom gets things totally right. I would verify what trans it is before ordering a shifter. as well as anything else you do. verify first, then order. will save you time, money and most of all headaches if you do

C4 = 11 trans pan holes / FMX & AOD = 14 trans pan holes / C6 = 17 trans pan holes / E4OD = 20 trans pan holes.

I would definantly confirm its an FMX first, it shouldn't take too much effort but will save a lot of hassle in the long run. In fact, I'd double check everything - engine, axle etc as then you know for sure what you're dealing with and can order in the future with confidence. Lots of us have learned this lesson the hard way!!

If the 351W came from a 1969/85 Passenger Car, it may be an FMX. If the 351W came from a 1981/96: F150/350, Bronco or 1975/96 Econoline...it ain't.

Pop a magnet on the case. FMX's have a cast iron case.
