I am looking for a new way to trim out my carpeting around the pedal arms and steering column shaft on my 54. In the past I have carefully trimmed out the carpet and melted the edges of the carpet to prevent unraveling. How does everyone else do it? Anyone know of some good grommets that may work? Any ideas?
Not sure the grommet will work for a floor mount petal as it arcs and needs a bit more room. I’m going to try a model A emergency trim plate for the brake petal, they also make a bigger trim ring for the shifter that might fit the steering column, same supplier.
Old F-1, that plate reminds me of a house metal light swirch cover that has the opening enlarged and cheap to buy. You could put a piece of inner tube under it and split the inner tube for pedal movement.chuck

old F1, shinny is good. I was thinking of POR-15 and black paint to match black carpet. I was not trying to offend. Just thinking of cheap and availability. chuck
