Speaking of avoiding companies..
After I totaled my f150 it was towed by a local company that had a contract with CHP. About 9 months later I got a letter from the DMV saying I was way late on my registration and owed $700 some dollars. I went there and explained to the lady she gave me a run around until she asked "do you know the name of the towing company?" I said "yes, McCoys towing." her face was priceless. Her response: "ohh... Ok. Here is the form you need. They have an entire filling cabinet drawer.."

Apparently they have lots of issues with them.

Also, in an unrelated matter, I called the tow company a week or so after the accident to go get personal items from the truck. They said no. So I called CHP and explained and the desk officer told me they had no right to deny me. A few months later I found out that the tow company had lost it's CHP contract shortly after my accident.

 

well, if you have receipts of the work done three months ago and they don't want to do anything about it. I guess small claims court is in order..
