a/c problem

i have an 06 f250 larait with the auto a/c and it sometimes does strange things like not let me change anything on it for a few min. then will work fine. a few minutes ago i went out to move the truck and it wouldnt work nothing came on and the display was blank. i restarted the truck a few times but that didnt matter so i checked everthing else onthe dash and it all seemed to be working fine so i started looking for fuses or relays but cant find any that say a/c directly i pulled and checked the fuse that said blower but it killed the truck i checked the fuse for comp clutch and it was ok so i swaped the relay for the clutch with the one for the trailer lights and restarted the truck and the a/c was working so i pulled the realy while it was running and the compressor shut down but the display and blower still worked. any one know what powers the display and functions? or what would cause this

There's a module (electronic automatic temperature control) that can get lazy...this has been brought up here before ...usually if you flip your headlights off and on a few times that will wake it up. I've had the problem a couple of times over the last couple of years and that's always worked for me. I suppose one day it won't and the module will have to be replaced. In the mean time I'm gonna keep flippin' that switch

It's behind the dash, so unless you swing really hard you're not going to be able to whack it.

I have no idea how much it costs.
