94 ford ranger 4x4 blower suddenly quit working after the ac was worked on. can't take it back to the place it was worked on.
got into the fuse panel in engine compartment and there was a home made looking jumper in the a/c wol relay position. we replaced that relay, reassembled the blower, turned on the engine and we had a blower...for about 10 secs. then it went dead again. no clicks, no sound when blower switch is turned, no air coming out of the vents.
any ideas on what would be causing this? or anything else we could check before we take it back to a shop? all fuses in the underdash fuse panel are fine, and replaced them just for good measure. ( a 10 amp and a 30 amp)
blower fan worked before the ac was worked on, so i'm assuming they mechanic did something odd, or did not know what he was doing.
Could be coincidence, since most AC repairs dont have anything to do with the blower. Intermittent fails like that could be a bad motor, resistor, switch or relay. Perhaps when you wiggled the wiring about that allowed the motor to work awhile then faulted again.
