Help where do these parts fit?

Hi

I am looking for this pan that sits in front of the rad and below the grill of my 1949 ford. It looks like a shroud to keep dirt out? Were can i find a new one i have checked dennis carpenter and lmc?

Ideas???

Also....

Here are two parts for my 1949 ford f100 (i think) the truck came to me in pieces and im not sure what these are for and were they go?

Can you guys give me a hand?

Thanks again!!!!

Robin

Look behind the front wheel in this picture, you'll see where the "spats" go.

(Believe it or not, there are several different versions of these between 48-50, 51-52, 6-cyl, V8, etc)

Robin, Gravel pan or guard? They come up used on eBay on a regular basis.

(Get a parts book or parts CD and maybe a shop manual too, they are a big help!)

Actually, I believe that the engine type doesn't matter. From what I remember and have found from tearing these trucks apart, 48-51 were the same, while 1952 was slightly different. The right side piece was more curved, as pictured on Ross's truck.

The ones pictured below are 48-51 style.

What engine do you have in the truck? It will matter because the length size is different. The flathead 8 was a shorter engine than the flathead 6.

I may have one, or both type, but need to know what engine it's needed for.
