Nothing powers up in the cab.

I have an 08 6.4L F250. Bought it water salvage title etc. I replaced the batteries, keys, ignition. When I plug the batteries in the running lights, side mirrors, and inside lights turn on, but nothing else does with the key turned or not.

I have tried everything that I can think of besides starting to pull out and replace all of the wiring/pcm.

I have a few guesses at what may be wrong, but I would like all of your insight!

PCM maybe suspect and well as the body control module.

I take it that you checked/verified under hood fuses and fuses in the cab are ok?

Yea, I pulled each fuse individually and checked. If I plug an Mustang SCT into the obd2 it also powers up, but cannot connect to the PCM, I am waiting for my actual SF3 for the 6.4L to see if it works.

Also pulled apart the fuse boxes, seem corroded underneath, is there a product out there that will eat the corrosion away?

Also whats the BCM?

Could an unprogramed key cause this?

BCM-Body control Module.

Fluid film works well.

Yes a key that is not programed will cause a no start. Dealer has to have all keys and then access the pcm and keys at the same time to program.

So that maybe the issue which sounds more like the problem.

Where is the BCM located? I found the ECM on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

I have heard that just a normal key would still power up the truck, just not allow it to run. I am wondering if this is the issue now...Nothing besides the outside lights and interior dome lights come on.

lights are independant so it make sense that they work.

not sure of the location but I think the kick panel on the passenger side.

Now the hazard lights are blinking, headlights are on, domelights are on in the cab, and the windsheild wipers work...and it smells and sounds like its pouring diesel fuel from the engine compartment...what does the BCM control?

Kinda for a loss at whats going on.

If the water damage was that bad I would be very cautious before you fire it up if you get that far. Our trucks are very sensitive to water in the fuel system. Maybe someone here can shed some light on what steps should be taken prior to turning over the engine with respect to the fuel system.

Lower fuel filter at the frame rail needs to be checked. with the ignition on it is powered up. There is a fuel filter on top of the motor as well.

I was also thinking maybe drain the tank just in case there was water intrusion. But I do not know what a water salvage implies. It was submerged and how high would be good things to know.

I'm going to drain the tank, as well as replace the fuel filters. I already have those ordered. I just cannot figure out this electrical crap for the life of me.

Im pretty sure the whole front end was under water.
