I really have no use for a race truck. Don't have a coolant filter yet, might do it, but I don't have much crud in my system (been flushed twice already and radiator replaced once). Injectors were fine before tearing it down, so I'm not going to pay to get them flow tested. I have replaced two already and can replace more if needed down the road.

Just placed my headstud order with Brown's Diesel, they had the best price I've found. Unfortunately, the studs are backordered from ARP, hopefully they'll be back in stock soon!

Crud or not, i would absolutely install a coolant filter.
At least at 100 or so it wont break the bank and you can easily resell it if need be

Still waiting on head studs This weekend I got the bottom end buttoned up with new upper and lower oil pan seals, block decks cleaned, and oil cooler replaced. Didn't get as much done as I hoped, ended up helping my dad with some other projects. Oh, and my HPOP screen was torn... Replaced it along with the new oil cooler, but I'm a little apprehensive about installing the new IPR since there could be crap in the HPOP system. There was debris on the screen (except for the torn section) and just a little bit on the old IPR screen. Will try to post a bunch of pics this week, need to get them off the camera and go through them all.

I purchased ARP's from Thoroughbred Diesel on July 13, 2011 and had them in a week for $411.00 free shipping.

just make shure the hpop reservoir is clean no lint nothing and at the turbo drain too

I can see the when they clean the vally of the moter with that drain tube out junk may go in there

I think these are the 2 spots people interduce the dirt and plug the IPR

I think your going to wish you put it in if you dont

Finally got the pics off my camera, here are a few:

No two-post lift, but getting creative with the knuckle boom did the trick.

A small leak in the y-pipe, luckily I have another to throw on. Not sure if this is significant, but I did notice my boost hadn't been what it used to be.

ICP sensor was leaking, this had previously been replaced under warranty before I bought the truck.

Cylinders looked pretty dang good for 103k miles!

I suspected a bent rod, so did some inspection. Checked the piston heights, all within a few thousandths, and also visually inspected the bottom end... it all checked out good. I thought I heard a rubbing noise when cranking, turns out it may have been air blowing out a popped head gasket, that's my only explanation.

Of course, my HPOP screen was torn. Really International, PLASTIC???

Blocked off EGR cooler is ready to be installed. Soft plug on the exhaust end, flat plate on the other end. Even if it leaks internally in the future it won't matter and I'll still pass a visual inspection!

Hopefully I'll get to work on it again in a couple weeks and will have more pics then!

Found one the correct color in a nearby salvage yard, after much searching. The one in these pics is the original though. I can't find a short box for a decent price, so it will probably get a flat bed.

It is 35mm, which is just a hair over 1 3/8. I read the part number off the Ebay blockoff kits and ordered from Amazon. I thought I was ordering one and got a box of 10, so I have extras if people want one.

Dorman 555-093 Exp Plg Stl Cup 35mm
