carfax showed a accedent in the rear was struck by another vehicle and said slight damage reported
This is a red flag to me. I would not trust that it was reported to carfax. I would take off the rear wheels and check the rear axle for axle flange runout. I'm not saying yours is bent, but it has been hit, in the rear, and is having vibration problems.

It's easy to check:

i dont think i have a bent axle because 99% of my vibrations are gone with the new shocks and the new dual steering stabilizers. although there is that chance there could be a small amount. would be something nice to check out and see. i could get a dial indicator with a magnetic from work and check it out oneday. i havnt thought about checking it out like that. thanks for the info. also from the time i got the truck the truck rode nice. after about a month is when i started noticing the vibrations becoming more and more intence.

Glad you like them. Most people will play around then find there spot and stay there. Take advantage of the rebate as well.

i love the shocks so far.

also the hope i talk about i think mostly happens on the long wheel base models. not 100% sure on that but from what i have read.
as far as a bent axle... dont think so. im not the orig owner and have only had it sence feb this year. carfax showed a accedent in the rear was struck by another vehicle and said slight damage reported. so i figure somebody didnt stop in time at a red light.

thanks for all the input guys.

some new 6.7 owners have had bouncing trucks, and lemoned them out... i ahve also heard of random trucks thru the years doing it of all superduty models.

glad you were able to fix yours.

also i nitoced today on the way home from work i still have the bounce. dont do it as much or as often but i think i may can adjust the shocks and get rid of it. i went from 3 to 5 on the front when i got home. have not touched the rear. still at 1. we will see.

I bought new 9000Xls back about a month ago, I have already
received (and mostly spent) my $100 rebate debit card already.
I just wanted to say "great job" to Rancho for such a quick rebate!

[back on topic]
I'm lovin' my new shocks (f/r both set to 5) - but I have an Ex.

That is quick! Glad the clearinghouse got the rebate back to you so fast. With the rebate ending August 31, that is when it gets crazy for them getting the rebates out.
