That is cool Dale. It reminds me of my youth with a cane pole, bobber, hook and some bait in southern maryland. We used to wade out and fish. Sometimes you get into a run of those fish about the same size as yours looks like. We looked like tuna fishermen for as soon as we caught one we put it on the stringer and dipped the hook back in. Bam! right away another hit. Filled that 20 fish stringer pretty fast....

Hey Dale do any bass fishing??? My favorite type besides they taste soooo good. Open fire with a cast iron pan.....YUM!!!!

I would guess crappy? Sunfish? Those are fun when you
catch them nesting - Did you eat them?

I remember a zillion years ago my mom was at her wit's end trying to deal my brothers & I so she told us just to go fishing - She didn't actually think we'd catch anything - we road our bicycles off to the lake down the hill & came across nesting crappies - We must have come home with 200 of them between the 3 of us - the look on her face was priceless to a 10 year old kid.

We used to call them sun fish.

Arn't all fryin' pans cast iron? sun fish, bluegill, bigears, all = great eatin'

The big dark one on top is what we call a war mouth. Others are brim and shell cracker that what yall call sunfish. We catch crappy around here in and around FEB. Fish is brain food so i eat all i can. LOL Nice thing about were i live I can catch fresh water fish in the backyard OR drive 20 miles and go saltwater fishing or oysters or clams. FLORIDA [GOT TO LUV IT] MAN its hot !!!!!!
