06 XLT, water in drivers side rear door

every time it rains, water accumulates in my rear driver's side door. The only way i can get it to drain is if i pull the grey exterior trim piece away from the lower right corner of the door then a stream of water comes dripping out.

I havent had time to remove the trim yet but any ideas? is this a common problem?

There are drain holes along the bottom of the door, sounds like yours are plugged. The fact that there is water in there is not unusual, but it is supposed to drain out.

The drains slots are built into the seam that runs along the bottom edge of the door. There are no actual holes in the bottom. Blowing all around there with compressed air is the best way to clean them out.

Open the door, and look near the bottom. The inner and outer door panels are welded together and where they meet there are openings.

Look behind / below the weather strip to the right in your picture.

Go further over, there are actual slots you're looking for.
