doin a motor swap an need a lil bit of help

i have a 93 f-150 5.0 5 speed 4x4 that im fixin up i also have a 351 windsor 4v ho out of a early 80s i think 83 4x4 f-150 wat all do i have to do for wiring to get it goin any help would b appreciated thanks

No wiring changes necessary, you just need the complete EFI setup(intake and distributor) off an '88 or later 5.8 motor since those parts won't transfer from the 5.0, and a 5.8 computer(EEC) that matches whatever transmission your truck has.

i wanna keep the 351 carburated i know i gota take my pump outv my tank an remove the pump put a peice of line in an crimp off the return an i need a power wire for my distribator

You know that they can fail you on inspection for having a carburetor on it right? It also wouldn't pass emissions if you have to do that. On top of all that, having a carb isn't going to make more power than the EFI...

they dont test for that were im from an i dont have a fuel injected motor to put in i have a 1993 f-150 4x4 its a five speed but no motor an the harness is cut up i have a 1983 351 4v ho i wanna put in wat kinda wiring work do i have to do

In that case you need a 28oz flywheel for your transmission(the 5.0 version is 50oz), and a bypass regulator for the fuel system. There is no need to go inside the tank but that pump pushes a lot more fuel than a carb can use so that's the reason for the bypass regulator. Then just wire in an ignition box like the Ford Duraspark or something aftermarket and use a vacuum advance distributor for example and you're good to go. The 351 will bolt right where the 5.0 was using the same engine mounts but since the engine is wider you will ahve to modify the exhaust some.

holes dont line up

i cant get on usin my old account for sum reason so i made a new one i got the truck all apart sandblasted painted old motor is out clutch that was in it was fried so i needa order one problem is when i try to line up the holes on the old 5.0 pressure plate to the 351 flywheel it doesnt line up so i dnt know wat kind of clutch to order any help would b appreciated thanks guys

i forgot to say that i checked the numbers on the flywheel an i comes bac as one from 73 im not sure if this makes a differance the holes r off by just a little bit thanks again
