RE: Broken Rockers
Do not believe there is anything that will help with this issue. The customer that received the Reman engine was/is a religious maintenance person. The Truck had no mods and was used for highway towing. The issue to me looks like a design flaw with the rocker arm itself. It just is not heavy enough. Just my 2¢.

This issue has been discussed on here a number of times. I don't think anyone has been able to pin point a cause. Seems too me that because they are at the end of the oil stream they probably get the least amount of oil. In stock form the 6.4L is subject to a good bit of oil dilution. That may not be the cause of rocker failure but it sure can't be doing much to prevent failure. A good thread would be to see how many 6.4s that were deleted early had failed rockers.

So the DPF was deleted and it was tuned then, correct? Because trucks that regen make oil and likewise dilute the oil with fuel, which may in turn be a causative factor in these rocker arms failures. What was someone was telling me before that they're more than happy with 4% fuel dilution in their oil analysis report? Might want to change that line of thinking...
what is DPF?
