No intermittent wipers, no parking

Did the search, and checked the tech sticky, and this is the exact issue I'm having:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/53...ml#post4059339

So I read the whole thread, and follow the instructions exactly, and I still have the same issues.

I took a digital tester and checked for intermittent continuity between the top and middle terminals on the park motor assembly, and it tested good. I was able to see the break in the cycle.

So if the motor is good, and the park drum is working correctly, where do I go next? Whatever it is, it is something directly related with the "park" circuit.

Thanks!

Went to alldata and I guess to verify that the park drum is working correctly, I'll have to perform this test. At least then I can be assured I need to look elsewere.

Agreed??

If this test passes, where to next?

1. Connect a jumper lead from the low speed terminal of the wiper motor connector to park return terminal of park switch connector.
2. Jumper both windshield wiper motor and park ground switch terminals to battery ground cable.
3. Connect a jumper lead from the battery positive terminal to park feed terminal. Wiper motor should cycle once, then stop in park position.

Well, this is what I got with the park test.

Made the jumpers as indicated, and hooked everything up, and when I applied the positive jumper, nothing happened. Hmmmm... So I got to wondering.

As I was there already, I jumped motor ground to the battery, and applied positive to motor "hi" and "low". Both worked like they were supposed to. So I tried the park test again.

This time the wipers completed the cycle and parked. WTF?? BUT, I had noticed that the wipers weren't in the park position from my previous test of the motor itself. I then bumped the motor off of the park position for both hi and low and repeated the park test. Both times the motor completed the cycle and parked.

So I'm wondering if the park test instructions aren't entirely correct. This test won't work if the wipers are already in the park position? If that's the case, then the circuit must need to be closed (as if the wipers were engaged) to test to see if the park drum is correctly breaking the circuit for park? Or, am I seeing the problem in that this test SHOULD cause the wipers to bump themselves off of the park position, and then complete a full cycle.

Your thoughts?

It's the connector under the master cylinder.......not the bulkhead......just hard wired around mine for the same issue....the wires were severly corroded .....

Yes....check the connectors that are under your master cylinder laying on the inner fender well...think it is at least a 12 pin......can tell you for sure tomorrow...
