351m-400 family flywheel question?

I have a 400m motor and im missing the flywheel. Can I use a 351m flywheel and if so do I need to change anything else? This is for a 4 speed tranny . I have a 77 1/2 ton 4x4. Thank you in advance

.

The 400 uses a 12" clutch while the 351m uses a 11" I think. Thinking you can interchange them though, the flywheels that is.

yes the flywheels are the same with the exception of the pressure plate bolt holes...unless you have a dual pattern flywheel that excepts bothh clutch sizes you'll need a new clutch...

nope everything else interchabges without issue so if you've swappped on a new intake or cab or headers or something it'll fit on your new motor without issues...

Yep, I checked that a month or so ago. With the shipping and it still needing resurfaced it is too high. I had one here for 50 but the guys number is now disconected. I can get one ready to go for 150 but I would like to see if I can get one cheaper before I get it. I can get a whole motor for 175 over here too but I dont a.whole motor that he doesnt know if it is worth anything or not.
