MY questions:

2. Vacuum seconds or manual
3. Manual choke or electric dont know if my electric choke wires work on my 82 have a maunal choke on it now for my mc2100
4. Anyone got any pix of this set up

MY C is broken and I have to mail it out to fix it so Im jsut gonna buy a new manifold thats why Im asking which is better
also the C + 2v seemed to really pull hard once it got rolling but around town it always seemed I needed better gearing or smaller tires. Right now it has 31x10.50x15 on it. I was hoping a 4v and DP would be better for low power and still scream at 70 mph. over time the motor may get a small cam and chevy rockers but I doubt it the only thing it will get is maybe a 5sp and say 3.55 gears

Somebody give me a gun. I'm taking the first shot. You're getting 19-20 mpg @ 70 mph and you're wanting to change your set up?
I would think, and you other guys pls jump in here if I'm wrong, that it is give and take. By that I mean: add to your bottom end, you're going to take from the top. Are you willing to sacrifice a couple or a few mpg for better low end performance?

well seeings as my C broke and right now its getting 0mpg ie. not working i was going to change it. I was only getting that MPG on the hwy. Driving around town seemed way lower. I was thinking that taking so much to get the truck moving was causing the difference in MPG. I was hoping that with more low end TQ I could get higher MPG in town where I drive 90% of the time. iIf I take a long trip I usually take my cummins. so thats why Im changing it up some. yes a few MPG loss at 70 wouldnt bother me as I only use it to go hunting if Im going alone other wise me take some ones 4dr truck.

If it were me, I'd leave this setup alone. Going to a 5 speed and 3.55 gears won't gain you much of anything in power or MPG.
Besides, the M5OD and 8.8" rear axle are both much lighter duty than the granny 4 and 9" rear axle.......

That C series manifold you've got now is broken how? I might want to get it from you if it's not too farked up. I've got this crazy EFI project lurking in the darkest regions of my brain and would like to find a cheap C series to have fitted with injector bungs. If it just needs a little welding, no worries, since it'd be getting it worked over anyway. Let me know if you want to part with it.
