93 ford ranger loses fuel preasure overnight

My ranger loser fuel preasure over night turn key on off 4 times starts like a champ ?????????????????

change the fuel filter and put a large bottle of techron in the fuel tank.........see if that works

They will all lose pressure overnight. Yours is losing its prime try the filter first. More likely the pump.

Yeah, several things can be going on here.

There is a check valve in the fuel pump, if that valve is dirty or jammed your pressure will bleed off. There is a fuel pressure regulator, which controls the pressure at the fuel rail. It will bleed off excess pressure, but if it is leaking, the pressure will drop. And what was suggested, a leaking injector will cause the pressure to drop.

You need to determine which is happening. Either that or you can play the guessing game and replace parts till get get it.

The first test is what is your operating pressure. Then pinch off or plug the high pressure line, and see if the pressure holds. If it does, the fuel pump check valve is failing. If the pressure still drops, you need to pinch off the return line, and test again. If the pressure holds, the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, if it still drops, then a fuel injector is faulty.

From there, you can replace the part that failed. If doing injectors, replace all 6 with flow matched replacements.
